Welcome to Day Three of the World Card Making Day Hop! You should
have popped over here from Gill's page. If this is your first stop,
click here to back up one step and start at the very beginning.
I love the idea of having a day exclusively reserved for card
making!! That's a huge step in the right direction for a perfect
world...now let's just work on a Sleep All Day Day, a Calories Don't
Count Day and a Free Diet Coke Day (a girl can dream, can't she?!?).
I made a set of cards using the DCVW Whimsy 8x8 paper stack. This
color palate isn't my usual go-to look, but when you're using multiple
pages out of the same stack, you're always going to end up with
something unique and coordinating!
I love the look of the pre-made butterfly embellishments, especially with this paper, but I'm a do-it-myself-and-save-ten-dollars kind of gal! I made my own template out of a thick cardstock and used that to cut the layers. A 1" glue line from Glue Dots® was the perfect length and width for adhering my papers together. I added a bit o' bling down the middle of the body to finish them off.
I hope these cards inspire you to make something fabulously out of the box for World Card Making Day! Be sure to follow my blog for more creative ideas!!
Be sure to comment on each post along the way for a chance at the blog hop candy. I'd love it if you became one of my followers, too!!
While you head over to Patti's blog for more creative goodness, I'm going to write a nice little letter to my senator about setting up that Diet Coke Day...
